If you've recently installed Outlook on a new laptop and it defaults to the "New" Outlook interface, you can revert to the "Classic" view by following these steps:

1. Open Outlook:

  • Launch the Outlook application on your laptop.

2. Access the Help Menu:

  • In the top menu bar, click on Help.

this may not be there depending on the version installed so look at the following screenshots to determine where the switch is

3. Switch to Classic Outlook:

  • Within the Help dropdown or wherever you find the switch located in your version, select Switch to Classic Outlook.

Outlook will then revert to the classic interface.

Note: If the Switch to Classic Outlook option is not available, ensure you're using the correct Outlook version. The "New" Outlook is identified by a "New" tag on its app icon. Make sure you're launching the version without this tag. If issues persist, you may need to adjust your system's registry settings.
