As a WHM reseller, you can create hosting accounts for your clients through the WHM interface. Follow these steps to set up a new hosting account.

Step 1: Log into WHM

  1. Go to your WHM login URL (e.g., https://yourdomain.com:2087).

  2. Enter your WHM reseller username and password.

  3. Click Log in.

Step 2: Access the Create a New Account Section

  1. In the WHM dashboard, navigate to Account Functions.

  2. Click on Create a New Account.

Step 3: Enter the Client's Domain and Details

  1. Domain: Enter the client’s domain name (e.g., clientdomain.com).

  2. Username: WHM will auto-generate a username, but you can modify it if needed.

  3. Password: Set a strong password or use the Password Generator.

  4. Email: Enter the client’s email address for account notifications.

Step 4: Choose a Hosting Package

  1. Under Package, select a pre-configured package.

    • If you don’t have a package, click Add a Package in WHM and create one.

  2. The package determines disk space, bandwidth, email limits, and other hosting resources.

Step 5: Configure Optional Settings

  • CGI Access: Enable or disable depending on the client’s needs.

  • cPanel Theme: Choose a default cPanel theme.

  • Feature List: Assign a feature list if you have a custom one.

Step 6: Create the Account

  1. Review all details.

  2. Click Create.

  3. WHM will process the request and display a confirmation message once the account is created.

Step 7: Provide Login Credentials to Your Client

  • Send the client their cPanel login details:

    • cPanel URL: https://clientdomain.com:2083

    • Username & Password: (As configured in Step 3)

Troubleshooting

  • If account creation fails, check resource limits or package configurations.

  • Ensure the reseller privileges allow creating new accounts.

  • Verify domain DNS settings if the site is not resolving properly.
