How to Set Up Your Domain to Point to Titan Email from other Domain Providers Print

  • 0

If your domain name is registered with a provider other than Fluccs, you can still use Titan Email. You just need to update your domain’s DNS records at your current registrar or DNS hosting provider.

This article explains the exact records to add and where to find them.

Step 1 — Log in to Your Domain Registrar’s Control Panel

  1. Sign in to the account where your domain name is managed (e.g. GoDaddy, CrazyDomains, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.).
  2. Locate the DNS Settings or Zone Editor for your domain.
Tip: If you’re unsure where to edit DNS, check your registrar’s help docs for “Manage DNS” or “Edit DNS records.”

Step 2 — Add Titan MX Records

MX (Mail Exchange) records tell the internet where to deliver your email. For EU-hosted Titan Email, you must replace any existing MX records with the following:

Type Host / Name Value / Destination Priority
MX @ mx0101.titan.email 10
MX @ mx0102.titan.email 20

Important: Delete any old MX records (e.g., your registrar’s default mail servers) before adding Titan’s records. Leaving them in place can cause mail delivery issues.

Step 3 — Add SPF Record

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) helps prevent spammers from sending mail that looks like it’s from your domain. Add or update your TXT record for SPF as follows:

Type Host / Name Value
TXT @ v=spf1 include:spf.titan.email ~all

Step 4 — Add DKIM Record

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) digitally signs your outgoing email, improving deliverability. Titan provides a unique DKIM record for your domain, which you can find in your Client Area > Titan Email Accounts > DNS Settings.

  • Type: TXT
  • Host / Name: titan._domainkey
  • Value: (your unique DKIM key string)

Copy the entire DKIM string exactly as shown in your Titan Email setup page.

Step 5 — Add DMARC Record (Recommended)

DMARC protects your domain against spoofing and phishing. Add the following TXT record (you can adjust the email address to your admin or support email):

Type Host / Name Value
TXT _dmarc v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:postmaster@yourdomain.com

Step 6 — Save and Wait for Propagation

Once you’ve saved your DNS changes, they need to propagate worldwide. This usually takes 1–4 hours but can take up to 24–48 hours.

Note: During propagation, some mail may still route to your old mail service. This is normal and will resolve once the DNS fully updates.

Step 7 — Verify Setup in Titan

  1. Log in to the Client Area and go to your Titan Email Accounts section.
  2. Click DNS Settings to check the status of your MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.
  3. If any records are missing or incorrect, Titan will highlight them so you can adjust your DNS.

Need Help?

If you’re unsure about making these DNS changes, contact your domain registrar’s support team and provide them with the above record details. If you run into issues, please raise a Support Ticket with us, and we’ll be happy to guide you.
